Alanna

The difference one person can make to your life!

Keith started running with his daughter Alanna (who had spastic quadreplic cerebral palsy) in October 2016 to run the Dublin City marathon in October 2017.

They fundraised over €70,000 for a wheelchair accessible bus for The Meadows respite care home in Navan. They travelled the country running races in preparation for the marathon and were well known on the Irish running circuit.

In June 2017 Keith ran his first marathon in Portumna forest park to make sure he could run a marathon on his own before he took it on with Alanna, he ended up winning this marathon.

Alanna passed away suddenly at home on the 13th December 2017, 9 days after her 8th birthday.

Keith focused on running and went into doing ultra marathons with his first in March 2019, Dublin to Belfast 172km  finishing 3rd in a time of 18hours and 20 mins.
